Mark (Lucky) Marlatt, ice cream salesman, decided to pop into an ongoing auction of furniture at the old Hollywood Hotel. He paid $12.00 for two chairs silent film star Rudolph Valentino once sat in. He asked he auctioneer “Do you mind if I sell a little ice cream while I am here”? Within minutes he was doing a thriving business in the hotel lobby. The hotel will be soon torn down and I will have those chairs paid for in no time and it turns out he was right. He made enough money to buy them.
