WORSHIPPER OF RUDOLPH VALENTINO. Inquest On Artist Found Poisoned. The inquiry into the death of the young woman known as Peggy Scott, said to be a scenario writer, and an intimate friend of Rudolph Valentino, was opened at Marylebone, London, to-day. The woman died in a house James Street, Oxford Street, on Wednesday night, and it is believed that her death was due to grief through the knowledge that Valentino, her hero, had died. It stated that the dead girl always carried an autographed photograph the famous actor wherever she went. She has not yet been identified definitely, but the first witness, Rose Eleanor Allborough. a James Street milliner, who said that she was known as a ” hat doctor,” told the Coroner that she could identify the body as that of her friend. Her name, she said, was Marguerite Murray Scott, and she was known as Peggy Scott. Married Twice. Witness said she understood the dead woman had been married twice. The first husband, the woman had told her, was a Captain Graham, of the Royal Flying Corps, who was killed during the war. She also told her that she had two children, but both of them had died in infancy. Her second husband, witness presumed, was Mr. Scott. She spoke of him as Pat, and said that he was Irish. So far as she knew, witness continued, the dead woman had no relatives alive. The coroner —What did she do? She had not very long come from abroad. She used to do either cinema work or write a little bit for the papers. I had known her since February, when she came over from Paris, but I had seen her in Paris last summer. She used to come and visit me in London, and once stayed a week with me well as occasional weekends. She seemed in poor circumstances, and complained of not being able to get work. The dead woman said her age was 27. The Coroner —You don’t know definitely whether she was receiving an allowance I am almost sure she was not. Was she very changeable in her temperament —Yes, she was always changing.
